We are all travelers on the road...

We may find our place in the journey to be one of purpose and joy. We may find it to be a place of disappointment or sorrow. Or we may be standing in the middle of the road, kicking at gravel, wondering where to go next. 

But for every one of us, no matter our place on the road, there is benefit in being encouraged that we do not travel alone; that we have a companion to travel alongside us... and that God is always with us in every season of life, throughout the journey.

This is the treasure of spiritual direction.

Scripture is full of faith-founded relationships with the intent of spiritual growth, encouragement, or companionship. The role of a spiritual director is to do exactly that- but much more than a mentor or spiritual friend- it is a role that a spiritual director is called, equipped , seasoned, and trained to fulfill.
